We like to author and edit documents for all our contracts in Microsoft Office applications such as Word and Excel. Will we have to change our processes to work in a browser?
No, you won’t have to change. The Icertis Contract Management platform comes with add-ins for Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel for specialized tasks. Our software is designed to be extremely flexible, without requiring extensive changes to existing processes and workflows.
We have multiple global offices, with buy-side and sell-side contracts that need to be compliant with each region’s specific laws. We also need corporate HQ to be able to see all contracts, but each region should only have access to the local contracts. Is that possible?
Yes, that is precisely the type of scenario for which our platform was architected. Functionality for managing regions, languages and compliance with local laws is built in, along with a comprehensive Role Based Access Control (RBAC) system that governs access to contract data at a granular level based on user roles and access permissions. We frequently update our processes for many reasons, including company acquisitions and changes in legal regulatory frameworks across the globe. Do we have to go to IT to update the software to work with new processes?
No, you do not. The Icertis Contract Management platform has a powerful workflow engine at its core, which allows super-users to easily change and configure the application to a new business process, avoiding the need for code changes. One of the reasons that Legal and Finance teams love our platform is that they can make system-level changes themselves, through an easy-to-use interface, without having to rely on their IT teams.
Our CSO and CIO are understandably a little concerned about the idea of these documents in the cloud. Can we get an on-premise version of your platform?
We would first want to talk to you about our platform’s security and policies in great detail—to help address those concerns and to describe how we’ve successfully met the extremely strict security requirements of several large, complex multinationals. We can do an on-premise version of the Icertis Contract Management platform, but we don’t recommend it. I already have a CPQ tool. Do I really need a contract management solution, too?
Most CPQ tools are simple document repositories. The Icertis Contract Management platform goes much deeper and enables an entirely different level of management. APIs are available to help automatically migrate contracts in bulk. These APIs support migration of contracts and metadata, as well as supporting documents. We have defined a robust migration process, and once everything is organized by you and ready for migration, bringing legacy contracts over is quite easy.
Does the Icertis Contract Management platform work on mobile devices?
We have native mobile support on all platforms of iOS, Android and Windows. Our mobile apps enable users to look up contract records, get approval tasks, review contracts, add notes and look up contract commitments, associations and other related data.
