Transurban operates toll roads in core strategic markets on the Eastern Seaboard of Australia and in North America, often times in complex public-private partnerships. The company was using an outdated ERP system that needed to be replaced.
While looking for a next generation ERP platform, Transurban realized they also needed to implement a modern, enterprise-wide contract lifecycle management (CLM) platform. In particular, the procurement team identified a need for a better source-to-contract solution.
Transurban’s previous CLM system was disorganized, with contracts stored in various locations. Authoring, negotiation, and approval of buy-side contracts took too long and did not adequately protect against risk.
Importantly, the new CLM solution needed to seamlessly integrate with the new ERP system.
