Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion

Living Our FORTE Values Means Committing to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion

At Icertis, our definition of success includes living by our FORTE values: Fairness, Openness, Respect, Teamwork, and Execution. We believe that living FORTE includes promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) in everything we do as a company.

  • We are committed to fostering a fair, open, and respectful environment for our employees, customers, suppliers, and partners. We are also committed to giving back to the communities where we live, work, and play.

  • We embrace diversity in all its forms and believe that on our journey to become the contract intelligence platform of the world, how we get there is just as important as the destination.

  • We are constantly re-evaluating our internal policies to identify opportunities to make diversity, equality, and inclusion priorities and set an example for the greater community. This includes hiring and sourcing practices, workplace culture, benefits packages, and corporate giving programs.

  • We are also committed to developing technology that helps our customers create a more fair and equitable world. Using our contract intelligence platform, our customers are managing supplier diversity initiatives, improving ethical sourcing practices, and enforcing anti-corruption programs, to name just a few examples. Like us, these customers know that improving diversity and fostering an ethical culture creates value and competitive advantage.

Some of our DEI efforts to date.

In humble transparency and in the spirit of Openness (one of our FORTE values), we know that we have more work to do. We also know that every long journey begins with a few steps. We remain committed to continuing these efforts today and for the years to come.

  • 7 Days for Humanity

To make it easier for employees around the globe to join the fight against racism and other forms of discrimination in person, Icertis added seven days of paid leave to volunteer, support, help, give, protest, and make themselves be seen and heard. In 2020, for example, many employees used one of their days to recognize Juneteenth, the celebration of the end of slavery in the United States. This benefit has been extended into 2021.

  • Diversity of Voices in the Room

We believe that diversity in our ranks—from employees around the globe to the Board—drives better outcomes for our teams and our customers. For instance, studies show that boards with women outperform companies without. Icertis is proud to include Karyn Smith and Penny Pritzker on our Board of Directors and Ursula Burns on our Board of Advisors, all of whom are champions of diversity and who support and advise us on living our FORTE values across the company. In addition, Icertis has an employee resource group (ERG) for female employees called Network of Women (NOW) that helps women connect with other women in the company to network, share experiences, and celebrate successes.

  • Catch the Match to Fight Racism

In 2020, for every dollar U.S. employees gave to an organization of their choice that fights racism, Icertis co-founders Samir Bodas and Monish Darda matched with an annual gift of up to $50,000 in the aggregate to the NAACP Legal Defense Fund.
